Booking can only be done online via our booking system.

To book a private studio, use the Book Now link and use the search function to find rooms that are available for your preferred dates.

In the search results, click on the studio you would like to book.

On the studio page, select the dates you want to book and click on the ‘Book Now’ button.

You will be redirected to the shopping cart page where you can proceed to the checkout and add your payment details etc.

Once you have placed your order you will receive a confirmation email.

When booking you will be asked to confirm that you have read and will abide by the terms and conditions.

Driving license, passport or National ID card.

What happens if I don’t provide ID?2020-02-27T08:36:45+00:00

It is a condition of our tattoo license that we take a copy of the ID of everybody who tattoos at NOKA, therefore without valid ID you will not be allowed to use the studio.

What time can I arrive and what time do I have to leave?2020-02-11T07:32:05+00:00

The studio is available for your use from 10.00am until midnight, 7 days a week. There are staff on site until 1.00pm so if you would like to arrive after 1.00 please let us know and we will arrange for someone to let you in. Please note that the latest start time on any day is 6.00pm.

There is an entry system by the main entrance, press number 52 and we will buzz you in. Alternatively give us a call on number provided when you made your booking and we´ll come and let you in.

Who I am I allowed to bring with me to NOKA?2020-09-24T10:39:30+01:00

Only artists and their clients are allowed into NOKA or Containerville. If you have more than one client in a day please only admit each client at the time of their appointment.

Lock the unit and leave the keys in the drop box on the front of the office door.

There is a small waiting area in each studio.

What equipment can I expect to find in the studio?2020-02-08T20:51:34+00:00

In the studio you will find a chair, armrest and stool, desk, tattoo lighting, tattoo tray table, hand wash facilities, bluetooth speaker, monitor and tables. In addition there is a small waiting area for your clients.

No. Only disposable grips and cartridges should be used.

Cling film, kitchen towels (plenty), razors, clip cord sleeves (2), machine bags (2), spatula/tongue depressor, small/medium/large ink cups, plastic cups for distilled water, gloves (8 pairs), disposable apron, liquid solidifier, Vaseline and micropore tape are provided. You will need to bring your own machine and ink etc.

In the office you will find colour printer, thermal printer, fridge, microwave, distilled water, wooden cutlery and limited locker space.

Is my stuff safe in the studio?2020-02-08T20:52:36+00:00

During the period for which you have booked the studio you can leave your stuff inside and it will be safe. The unit is lockable and secure, although it will be accessed by NOKA staff and cleaners every day.

Is my stuff safe in the office?2020-02-08T20:52:56+00:00

There are security cameras in the office but it is a shared space and as such things should not be left in there apart from in the lockers provided.

I will be returning to NOKA in the near future, can I leave my stuff there?2020-02-08T20:53:21+00:00

When any booked period is finished you need to remove all your items from the studio, we have limited locker space available for any artist returning within the next 7 days.

What is the arrangement with cleaning?2020-03-01T10:34:21+00:00

The rooms are professionally cleaned every morning. The fee you pay includes a charge for cleaning.

There are bins and sharps/needles bins in the studio, the cleaners will remove the rubbish when the unit is cleaned.

Is there a staffed reception area?2020-02-08T20:54:31+00:00

No. With NOKA you are simply booking the space. You the artist are responsible for all communication with and management of your clients. There is a NOKA member of staff on site every morning who will show you the location of your studio and answer any questions that you may have.

No problem. Just send us an email and we will arrange a time for you to come and have a look.

Do I pay the full amount when I book?2020-02-08T20:55:13+00:00

Yes, we require the full amount to be made when the booking.

Do I have to pay a security deposit?2020-02-08T20:55:34+00:00

No, a deposit is not required.

What happens if I have a cancellation?2020-02-08T20:55:59+00:00

If a booking is cancelled 7 days in advance a refund of 100% will be made.

If a booking is cancelled less than 7 days but more than 48 hours in advance a 50% refund will be made.

Any cancellation less than 48 hours before the start time of the booking will not receive a refund.

There is a bluetooth speaker and a large monitor.

Yes there is complimentary WiFi.

Can I or my client bring our pet?2020-02-08T20:57:06+00:00

No. No pets are allowed in the studios for reasons of hygiene and there is nowhere nearby where you can safely leave your pet for the duration of your booking.

Nearest good coffee is Ozone Coffee on Emma Street or The Hackney Coffee Co. on Hackney Road (they also sell decent food.)
